Privacy Policy
This policy explains what SadakPulse collects, why it is used, when it is displayed publicly and the choices available to you.
1. Information we collect
- Account information: name, email address, mobile number, profile image and authentication identifiers supplied through Firebase Authentication.
- Road reports: issue type, severity, title, description, selected map location, area, photographs and submission time.
- Community activity: confirmations, comments, authority-routing suggestions, moderation decisions and status history.
- Technical information: security logs, device/browser details, IP address and service diagnostics produced by our hosting, authentication, database, storage and map providers.
2. Location information
You can select a report location on the map or permit your browser to provide your current location. Current location is used to position the report pin; SadakPulse does not need continuous background location. A report’s selected road location may be displayed publicly because it is essential to the report.
3. Public information
Approved reports, selected road locations, issue details, community confirmations, comments, status history and aggregate authority-routing votes may be public. If you post anonymously, your public name is hidden, but an internal account identifier remains available to authorised moderators for safety and abuse prevention.
4. How we use information
- Operate, authenticate and secure SadakPulse.
- Review and publish road-condition reports.
- Detect spam, abuse, duplicates and unsafe content.
- Calculate community road scores and aggregate statistics.
- Route issues to community-suggested authorities and maintain an audit history.
5. Service providers
SadakPulse currently uses Firebase for authentication and functions, Supabase for database and file storage, Vercel for application hosting, and MapLibre with third-party map/tile services. These providers process information under their own terms and privacy commitments.
6. Retention and security
We retain information only as long as needed for the service, safety, dispute handling and applicable legal requirements. Access controls, row-level database policies, moderation and restricted file storage are used to reduce unauthorised access. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.
7. Your choices and rights
You may request access, correction or deletion of eligible personal information, withdraw consent where applicable, or raise a grievance. Public civic records may be anonymised instead of erased where retention is necessary for integrity, safety, legal obligations or the rights of others. See Data & Deletion.
8. Children
SadakPulse is not intended for children to use independently. Do not submit information about a child or allow a child to upload identifiable photographs without appropriate consent and supervision.
9. Changes
We may update this policy as the service or law changes. Material changes will be identified by a new effective date and, where appropriate, an in-product notice.
